Cambridge Is Advancing the DoD Military Health System (MHS) Through Advanced Technologies

Cambridge is leveraging our core competencies and emerging technologies to support the Navy and Joint Military Medical Community of Interest (MEDCOI). We are engineering, developing, deploying / integrating, securing, and sustaining Health IT solutions and systems as well as program and project management to assist the MEDCOI in keeping pace with the tools and technologies available to improve medical care for our armed forces and their families. We have also partnered with Navy Medicine and Defense Health Agency (DHA) representatives to analyze the current state of medical technologies and aid them in determining what areas of emerging technology, such as big data, virtual reality, and Internet of Things (IoT), should be prioritized for adoption.

The nine broad emerging technology domains that Cambridge is helping Navy Medicine and the Joint Military MEDCOI navigate and adopt are:

  • Additive Manufacturing
  • Algorithms and Analytics
  • Core IT Software, Devices, Hardware, and Infrastructure
  • Genomics
  • Information Exchange and Big Data
  • IoT
  • Mixed Reality
  • Mobile and Web
  • Robotics and Automation
  • Virtual Healthcare

“Cambridge is extremely excited to be supporting MEDCOI and applying our extensive Health IT enterprise solutions and systems expertise with the collaborative development and implementation of these emerging technologies. Our long-standing partnership with MEDCOI, academia, and business partners is the cornerstone of our successful development and adoption of these technologies. Beyond the critical component of enhancing and improving the global delivery of vital healthcare to service members and their families, the outcomes of these initiatives will be instrumental in advancing and sustaining health information technology to the broader MEDCOI and DoD MHS,” said Cambridge Senior Director of DoD Services and Solutions, Mr. Joseph Krauss.

Cambridge’s core competencies include system engineering, enterprise infrastructure, enterprise network, network security, infrastructure engineering, infrastructure operations, cyber security, network operations, platform infrastructure engineering, systems testing, systems integration, and information assurance. We are leveraging these core competencies, our subject matter expertise, and our more than 20 years of experience supporting DoD customers to assist the MEDCOI in enhancing the security and privacy of medical records, the availability of information in multiple environments, the connection of information systems and medical diagnostic equipment, patient life cycle management, and data transfer.
