Cambridge International Systems Awarded Colombian Regional Helicopter Training Center (RHTC) Support Services Task Order

Cambridge has been awarded the Colombian Regional Helicopter Training Center (RHTC) Support Services task order under the Air Combat Command Acquisition Management and Integration Center’s Counter Narcotics and Global Threats (CN&GT) Operations and Logistics Support Services contract. In support of this task order, Cambridge will provide the US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) with a full range of OH-58 and TH-67 helicopter maintenance, instructor pilot standardization, maintenance training, logistics, and airframe transition support. The RHTC, located on the Melgar Air Base in Colombia, plays an integral role in Colombia’s counter narcotics (CN) program by providing pilot training for Colombian Military (COLMIL) pilots in accordance with Department of Defense standards, as well as formal and over-the-shoulder training geared toward the COLMIL personnel who will assume the RHTC mission responsibilities in the coming years.

“Cambridge’s work in Colombia dates back to our first contract, more than 20 years ago. Our continuous in-country presence has allowed us to develop a unique mission understanding, and we are eager to support the RHTC and to assist the Colombian Military in building up their national helicopter maintenance, logistics, and training capabilities” said Eric Garnier, Cambridge’s Senior Vice President.

Cambridge looks forward continuing our mission to assist Partner Nations in developing their own security capacities. Cambridge’s extensive CN mission experience, CN-specific aviation experience, in-country logistics capability, and in-country resources will enable us to deliver outstanding mission support and help position the COLMIL to manage the RHTC mission responsibilities in accordance with their nationalization timeline.
