Cambridge Receives 2024 Hire Vets Medallion Award From The US Department Of Labor

US Acting Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su recognized Cambridge as one of the recipients of the 2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during a virtual award ceremony presented by US Department of Labor. Cambridge earned the gold award after applying earlier this year. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.

“Cambridge is honored to have earned the Gold, HIRE Vets Medallion Award for the second year in a row. We place emphasis on hiring Veterans because they share our goal of creating a safer world.” said Cambridge CEO and Air Force Veteran, Dr. Kim Harokopus. “Veterans uniquely embody our core values of commitment, integrity, and perseverance and because of that they fit right into our corporate culture. We extend many thanks to all Veterans, including the many who are part of the Cambridge Team, for their service to our country. We are proud to support you in continuing your career.”

Cambridge is among awardee companies from 49 states, plus the District of Columbia, who have shown a commitment to hiring veterans, but also ensuring that they have a long-term career and growth plan that uses the diverse skills they acquired through their military service.

Recipients of the 2024 HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, including veteran hiring and retention percentages; availability of veteran-specific resources; leadership programming for veterans; dedicated human resource efforts; pay compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans. The HIRE Vets Medallion Award program was initiated in 2019.
