Founded With a Vision to Counter Global Threats

Cambridge was founded with a vision to counter threats to global stability and US national security, and we have remained true to that purpose for three decades. To achieve this, we have expanded our global infrastructure and continuously adapted to meet the latest requirements of our customers and their missions.

1994

We were established as Cambridge Communications Systems.

2000s

During this decade, we began our foundational work in global maritime domain awareness and counternarcotics.

Our first major contracts were in SOUTHCOM, supporting the original installation of the communications center and satellite earth station in Bogotá, and answering hemispheric radar system requirements across nine South American countries, the Bahamas, and Mexico. This included work on the systems and equipment still used to transmit and integrate Partner Nation radar data into the JIATF-S Common Operational Picture. Thirty years later, Cambridge continues to support the specialized domains of radar and communications.

PEO C4I and SPAWAR awarded Cambridge the MSS IDIQ contract, and we successfully delivered on multiple geographically dispersed MSS task orders worldwide, improving interoperability and assisting stability operations.

We expanded our business office operations to several CONUS locations.

By the end of this decade, Cambridge was also supporting extensive CNTPO requirements that would carry beyond 2010 on seven task orders in SOUTHCOM, CENTCOM, and NORTHCOM (in the US and Mexico).

2010s

We enhanced our services to enable customer missions as we kept pace with emerging threats, technology, and regulatory changes.

During this decade, Cambridge earned Prime seats on multiple NIWC C4ISR IDIQs as well as on ACC AMIC’s CN&GT Operations and Logistics IDIQ vehicle. To meet AMIC’s evolving requirements, we broadened our capabilities to include aviation and won the Regional Helicopter Training Center task order. This flagship program successfully enhanced Colombia’s capability to tackle regional security challenges.

Also during this timeframe, we expanded our global office locations to better serve our customer base, and changed our company name from “Cambridge Communication Systems to “Cambridge International Systems” to reflect our growing footprint.

We continued to deliver radar, surveillance systems, C4ISR, and counternarcotics solutions worldwide while also stepping up to address new cybersecurity requirements across the DoD and federal agencies. This dedication to meeting and exceeding industry standards and warfighter needs led to new work providing cyber defense and IT security at NASA and to attaining CSfC Trusted Integrator status with the NSA.

2020s

With steadfast resolve, we have continued to perform our core work and build on our legacy to support DoD’s most challenging missions.

We were honored to start this decade with a significant repeat customer award, the follow-on to our MSS IDIQ NAVWAR’s CIIS contract.

We have also secured new opportunities to support critical infrastructure and C5ISR. These include our Cyber Mission Systems contract support of the Marine Corps Wargaming and Analysis Center and the Air Defense Sector Agile Operations Centers.

We were awarded the recompete of the CN&GT IDIQ in 2023, and our CDSS task order win on this vehicle has brought us full circle, back to directly supporting the mission of JIATF-S. On CDSS, we enhance the cybersecurity posture of the network while also ensuring reliable delivery of critical data to the US and PNs.

In 2025, we won the OASIS+ IDIQ for the first time, a vehicle which will allow us to serve our valued customers and expand our support across the federal government.

In support of the US and Partner Nations, Cambridge has performed on six continents, in every Area of Responsibility, and in most every environment – from jungle to maritime to cyberspace. We do so with commitment, integrity, and perseverance.
