New Virginia Beach Office Will Enable Cambridge To Provide Enhanced Customer Support to Navy and AMIC
Cambridge is pleased to announce the grand opening of our new Virginia Beach office located at 2101 Parks Ave, Suite 600, Virginia Beach, VA. The office opened its doors this week and is now home to our Combatant Commands (COCOM) division and the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Information Technology Engineering and Support Services (ITESS) program support team, which are part of our Defense and Intelligence Business Unit, as well as our Proposal Operations Department.
- The COCOM division, headed by Director Liz Germanos Buker, supports the Air Combat Command Acquisition Management and Integration Center’s Counter Narcotics and Global Threats (CN>) multi-year, multiple award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (MAIDIQ) contract and other US Government contracts providing mission critical operations both domestically and internationally. The CN> MAIDIQ provides services, equipment, material and minor construction and repair services to improve the capability of the US and partner nation agencies in support of counterdrug and counter terrorism efforts.
- The MSC ITESS program support team, under the leadership of Program Manager Rachelle Ingram, provides the MSC N6 with program management support, configuration management, systems integration, Department of the Navy Application and Database Management System (DADMS) compliance, release and deployment management, and IT service management design. The MSC customer relocated their operations from the Navy Washington Yard in Washington DC to the Norfolk Naval Base in May 2016, so our program support team has been relocated from the Washington DC area to Virginia Beach to maintain our close working relationship with the customer.
- The Proposal Operations Department, lead by Director Kelley Hyson, manages the Cambridge proposal process, including planning, solutioning, messaging, writing, editing, and compliance checking, to develop winning proposals.
The opening of the Virginia Beach office reflects our continued corporate growth, our commitment to providing our employees with collaborative and comfortable workspaces, and Cambridge’s commitment to providing our AMIC and Navy customers with outstanding C4ISR solutions.
“The establishment of the Virginia Beach office will build on the existing expertise of the Cambridge International Systems staff, which includes program and project managers, engineers, logisticians and technicians, to provide sophisticated operational and technical support to our customers. The establishment of this new office reflects Cambridge’s on going focus on globally delivering C4ISR solutions that meet the most demanding requirements for communication, surveillance, intelligence and security applications” said Cambridge Vice President of Defense and Intelligence Solutions, Russell Thurston.
The Virginia Beach office joins a long list of Cambridge worksites in both CONUS and OCONUS locations. Cambridge is headquartered in Arlington, VA with offices in Charleston, SC, Tampa, FL, Al-Hamriya, Bahrain, Bogotá, Colombia, and an integration facility in Hazle Township, PA.
