Cambridge wins SRS contract
Cambridge was selected by the US Air Force, Electronic Systems Center to provide Staging and Retrieval Services (SRS) for DoD and Coalition warfighters. The program is a follow-on effort to the successful Production Equipment Center contract that Cambridge held and for which the Company was awarded ESC Small Business Contractor of the Year. The SRS effort provides logistics services to six primary Air Force program offices responsible for a variety of battlefield sensor and information planning missions. The services will continue to be provided from Cambridge’s secure 20,000 square foot facility in Nashua NH.
Under the SRS effort, Cambridge performs asset management, logistics tracking, transport, and field kitting. A majority of the assets are bound for OCONUS, deployed, war fighting usage, making timely and effective transport critical for mission success. Cambridge’s Nashua-based logistics team works in coordination with ESC to ensure the efficient, on-time delivery of field-ready equipment. Operational readiness drives the logistics mission.
In addition to logistics support, the Cambridge center provides a full integration lab for use by engineers and integration specials. As part of an on-going “green” initiative that includes a successful recycling program, Cambridge will also be upgrading the lab facility with a state of the art air handling, particle filtration, and energy efficient environmental control systems.
“Cambridge has been a partner with the USAF and Electronic Systems Center in particular for over ten years. We are pleased that we can continue to support these important customers in getting the mission critical systems to the war-fighter,” said Cambridge Vice President Eric Garnier. Garnier leads Cambridge’s Tampa Business Unit. It is this unit that is responsible for the SRS operations.
