Cambridge Completes Cocos Island Radar Installation

Arlington, VA – August 12, 2016 Cocos Island is a natural paradise located 532 km from the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The Costa Rican government, in conjunction with the Forever Costa Rica organization and several other partner organizations, has recently taken a giant step toward protecting the islands’ natural wonder by installing a modern maritime radar. Cambridge International Systems completed the radar installation, which will provide a much needed surveillance capability to combat illegal fishing and the illegal drug trafficking that takes place around the island.

(Cambridge), a leading integrator of maritime domain awareness systems, has been awarded the Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Maritime Surveillance System (MSS) delivery order by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) under the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) Integrated International Solutions (CIIS) contract.
