Arlington, VA – June 21, 2017 - The Cambridge International Systems, Inc. (Cambridge) base operations support team at the Forward Operating Site in Apiay, Colombia was recently praised by the Task Force Commander, Captain Landen Ellyson, for exceptional service, responsiveness, and efficiency.
Recently, Cambridge helped the Regional Helicopter Training Center (RHTC) in Melgar, Colombia retire its last OH-58 model helicopter. There was a farewell ceremony, pictured above, that bid goodbye to the last OH-58, which was fittingly designated tail number 58. The OH-58 models have now been replaced by a newer TH-67 model. The transition between models, which was led by Cambridge, went smoothly with no additional hours of labor required, lost air time, or safety issues. The transition was a big success for our RHTC team and customers.
Cambridge is proud of the work we have done with the Forever Costa Rica Association, Conservation International, and Oceans 5 to bring the Costa Rican Government’s National Strategy for Maritime Surveillance and Control to fruition. The radar we installed is helping to combat drug trafficking and illegal fishing, and protecting the wildlife around Cocos Island by detecting and providing authorities with information about the boats that enter the Cocos Island National Park marine areas.
